In this workshop we will discuss what editors look for, building a good editor-writer relationship, and the differences between critique and criticism. A professional editor will be joining this session.

The Published Pen: Becoming a published writer is challenging but has many rewards. This will help you get started. We will discuss finding markets, writing query letters, and various ways of getting published, including self-publishing. Published authors will be joining this session.

What: Today’s politics have social media buzzing and pollsters guessing. Many are still reviewing the recent US election results and shaking their heads. Do Twitter and Facebook now have more influence than traditional news outlets? What role does fake news now play in public relations? How does the “post-truth” era affect politics AND public relations?  One million people shared a fake video of the Pope endorsing Donald Trump.

What could this mean for the 2017 BC election? Should the new era in politics change how we prepare, promote and poll? For more information click here.
